The School Cross Country

After lunch was over we always trained for cross country.
We did warm ups and running around the whole school. Sometimes we had to run to the beach and back it was very hard. It was very long and so muddy and wet.  Sometimes it rained while we were running. If we stopped for 5 seconds we have to do 20 star jumps.

The cross country race started at the beach. We walked down to the beach and waited for the year 5 boys to go. When the boys went Mr Burt told us to get ready, get set and then he clapped the wood for us to go. We went to the bridge and then across the creeks. I was so exhausted but I did not give up. We went along the paths and through the gate to the finish line. I came third.

I felt happy and good.

CHIEFS winning on saturday

On saturday the chiefs were versing the shacks. The chiefs were winning Sonny Bill gotta try and then he jump on to the crowd then they gave him a big hug. but some of the players of the shacks gotta try then it was finished the crowd was cheering for the chiefs they got the big trophy.

                

About the sport hockey

Equipment
1.hockey sick to play with on the field.   
2.mouthguard if someone hits you on the mouth.
3. helmet the goal neels helmet grass to play in.  
4. ball to play with on the field.


Hockey is a cool sports to play. The New Zealand olympic team was trying to get in the finals. But they lost a game even though they tried their hardest to be the winners. New Zealand has 6 gold  2 silvers and 5 bronze because Valery Adams was given the gold medal after all.



About me going into the team.
If I was in the hockey team I would be the goalie  trying to keep stopping the ball from going into the goal.
 

     

Running The Race

Running The Race

Nick Willis is a runner. He tried to win a gold medal but he didn’t win. He is the New Zealand captain of the 2012 olympic team. He ran 1500 metres and he practised and practised. Nick was so disappointed because at the last olympic games he won a silver medal but he did his best.

The last athletics at my school I came 3rd place. I was disappointed too but this year I'm going to try my hardest in athletics. Cross country is next week and it is very hard. We run to the reserve and back after lunch every day.   

         

equestrian show jumping

In the morning I watched the equestrian show jumping. It was in the Olympic Games. It  was cool. There were judges and Princess Anne was watching her daughter. People were cheering for Zara Phillips as she was riding. New Zealand came second in  equestrian competition.
