Do you like a sport that’s quick , tiring and exciting well I’ve got the sport for you. it’s called cricket. Cricket is a bat and ball game played between 11 players. Each team takes a turn at batting attempting to score runs while the other team is feilding. The two sets of three wooden stumps on the pitch are the wicket the two white lines are the creases. The wooden stumps stand behind the Batter is the batter swings his/hers bat and it touches the wooden stumps then he/her is out.

The bowler delivers the ball to the batsman who attempts to hit the ball with his bat away from the fielders so he can run to the other end of the pitch and score a run. Each batmans continues batting until ten batsmen are out , or a specified number of overs of six balls have been bowled, at which point the teams switch roles and the fielding team comes in to bat.

Cricket was first played in southern England in the 19th century. By the end of the 18th century , it had be developed to be a national sport of England. The game is most popular in  New Zealand ,  Australasia, England, the Indian subcontinent, the West Indies and Southern Africa.
